City of Englewood’s Website Re-Design

Starting in June of 2020 I presented to city council about the need of getting a redesigned website which would focus on usability for Englewood residents by making information more accessible and will provide and enjoyable user friendly experience. Funding was approved and the kick-off for the project started in July of 2020. I was Project Lead and guided a 25+ member committee through the redesign process which was estimated to take an average of 9-12 months to complete. We received feedback from residents, city council and employees about what they wanted in a new website. We utilized that feedback in the UI/UX and wireframing stage and built the site out from there with the help of the Granicus team. We launched the website in 7 months which was 2 months earlier than the average.

Here is what is new:

  • New tools to streamline content

  • A user-friendly layout

  • Enhanced spotlight, events, and news sections

  • New ‘Service Finder’ feature that filters the most searched information by category

  • New design and color scheme
