VESTIGIUM - A GUILT-FREE HIKE TRACKER

Vestigium (Latin for a track or footstep) is a hike tracking app that allows the user to save their completed hikes in a master list. Search for the hike in the apps online database (collected via the State Parks Service and the National Parks Service) and save the hike to their list. No GPS tracking that drains the user's phone's battery but also no GPS means the user is more connected with the trail versus their phone. The user will have the option to add their photos of the hike and customize the trail information if needed. Their list will not be shared with anyone unless they choose to share it with someone via email or text message. This means that tagged and overpopulated/damaged trails will be a thing of the past. Once they save a hike, it will be added to their overall list, which will show yearly mileage and elevation gain for the user's reflection or the option to email/text to loved ones.
